I had an amazing time at this oceanfront cottage! The location was perfect, just across the road from a stunning black sand beach. The cottage itself was bright, comfortable, and had everything I needed, including a fridge and coffee maker. The owners were incredibly helpful and even provided useful information before my arrival. The atmosphere was truly magical, with the sound of chirping frogs adding to the enchanting experience. Cooking my own meals in the cottage felt like being at home, and I saved money by doing so. I loved everything about my stay and can't wait to go back!
Nothing can be improved, it was a perfect experience.

The cottage provided a comfortable and bright stay, being right across from the beach. The yellow cottage we stayed in had all the necessary amenities, including a fridge, coffee maker, and an awesome view of the ocean. The location was also great, with a farmers market just a few miles away and the town of Pahoa with its great restaurants and market only 6 miles away. We loved the island feel and being away from big hotels, and the pre-arrival information from the owners was very useful.
It was difficult to reach the owners with a question about kitchen facilities, despite sending two messages with no reply. The lack of phone service may be seen as a positive by some, but it also meant that communication with the owners was limited.

The cottage had everything we needed, including a fridge, coffee maker, and an awesome view of the ocean. We also enjoyed the fact that there were local tips posted on the fridge and that we could rent bikes for exploring the area. I just had the most wonderful island vacation at this rare gem in paradise! The value for money was unbeatable and the bright, comfortable cottage had everything I needed, including a fridge and coffee maker. The ocean view was simply beautiful and being surrounded by the enchanting sounds of frogs made it a truly unique Hawaiian experience. The hosts were friendly and helpful, providing great tips on local spots to visit.
The only drawback was the lack of kitchen facilities in the cottage, such as a microwave or stove, making it difficult to cook or heat up food inside. Although they had a shared microwave in another building, it was located next to the laundry room which was not well-maintained.
